Letter, from Springhill, Pennsylvania to his wife Eliza in Kaskaskia. Discusses slaves and what he had planned for them to do while he was gone, his plan to buy "a girl", his travel itinerary and business and advisment to wife to "keep everyone at their respective duties" in order to "succeed in business."
